Google Sniper Earnings Week Two - Day Six

Happy Halloween!

Well as I mentioned I wasn't able to devote much time to my sites due to fun family stuff. Getting my sons halloween costume, parade at school, stuff like that and of coarse Trick or Treating this afternoon.

Current status of my sites is as follows:

Site #1 - Page 1 of Google - 9th spot down
Site # 2 - Page 2 of Google - 6th spot down
Site #3 - Page 21 of Google (yikes!) doesn't matter what spot down.

Nothing much has changed in the past two days in terms of the sites moving up so I believe some tweaking will be in order. I need to add at least one more post to sites #1 and #2 and see if I can nudge it up the Google ladder a little. I am truly determined to get them both on Page 1 of Google in spots #1 and #2. Due to the unique keywords involved - this is very possible.

I think I also know what the problem is with site #3. That would be that there are not enough LSI keywords. Basically LSI keywords are the "related keywords" that Google search engines look for in your posts.

While I have my actual long tail keyword mentioned quite a few times in my posts - I don't have many of these extra keywords in there to bring it sufficient attention from Google. This is something else I need to work on.

As for Google Site #4 - it is temporarily on hold until I finish the 3 or 4 posts I mentioned above. I decided to go a different way on this one. On Google Site #4 I am going to advertise a specific product. In this case it is the very hot Zhu Zhu pets toy that so many children seem to want this holiday season.

While this won't be easy, because it is so popular - I did happen to find a keyword that doesn't have impossible competition. This one is strictly a trial run to see how it fares -- though interest will probably wane in it after the holidays. I hope to have this up and running by Wednesday 11/4.

Article Writing Earnings

As I've also mentioned, I did not write a single article this month due to my focus on the Google Sniper program.

The bad news is I miss the extra couple of hundred dollars this normally brings in and in hindsight regret not writing at least a couple of them....

The good news is however, I got to see how much I am earning in strictly passive income without touching a thing and that came out to be a little over $100 this month. That is income just from the articles I already have up - and while it is in no means a fortune - it is good to know that slowly but surely my past efforts are paying.

It excites me to think about how that amount willl increase when I get the hang of Google Sniper and have those sites bringing in passive income as well.

Ehow Earnings

I am happy to report that Ehow "dismissed" that whole plagiarism issue and my article is back up and live where it should be. I had a feeling it was only a matter of time before they discovered it was an error. I still don't know what is going to happen going forward however with this new plan they have in place with previewing articles before publishing, but I guess I will find out next week when I start writing articles again.

Well, that is all there is to report for now...Happy Halloween everyone!

Google Sniper Earnings Week Two - Day Three

O.K. Had a few ups and downs over the last couple of days.

We'll start with the downs because I always like to end on a happy note.

As you might remember I had Google site #3 up and pre-launched over the weekend. I was waiting for it to be indexed on Google before adding the finishing touches (an important part of the Google Sniper program). Sure enough on Monday morning I go to see if it was indexed and couldn't find the site at all! When I typed the url directly into Google it automatically went to an old website that I didn't even own the domain to anymore!

Naturally I called Godaddy who is my host to find out what the problem was and they said they couldn't figure out what the problem was either. All the woman could tell me was that it seemed I no longer had any files at all in my new domain and because it was less than 24 hours they didn't even have a back-up to send me.

Needless to say this did not make me happy. I had to start all over again, re-insert wordpress and other plug-ins, redesign the site to get it back to where I wanted and I lost some serious time. After doing a little research, I have found that Godaddy is probably not the best host for me to have. They suffer glitches fairly often, so after I get my initial goal of 10 sniper sites up I might switch over to BlueHost which Google Sniper recommends.

The Good news however is... Thank goodness I saved the posts in Notepad!! If I had to rewrite 4 posts from scratch I would have really been unhappy - so just as a reminder - ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR WORK - you never know what could happen.

So the other good news. Even though I had to start from scratch the site got indexed the same day! Which is awesome, so I still got the site fully launched on Monday anyway.

The other, other good news is that Google Sniper Site #1 made it to the first page of Google already! Yay! From zero to page 1 in seven days. Not too shabby.. No sales yet and it is still in the 11th spot on page 1...but I'm a "glass is half full" kind of gal..so I will stay positive and (do my best) to remain patient - though it is not easy.

Onto other news....While Site #3 has been indexed -- it is all the way down on page 21 of Google. I have a feeling this one might be a much harder climb to the top. I may have misjudged the keyword potency. While there are only 67 competitors using that "exact" term - which is a really low number - it ends up that there are a couple of thousand sites that have that term within their website. I am going to give it a day or two and see if it starts moving up on its own. If not, I will go back in and tweak it with some other keywords to see if I could nudge it up the Google Ladder.

Ehow Earnings Update

Not so good on the Ehow front. Earnings still running low and as of now I might even make less than I did last month which is surprising to me. They haven't gotten back to me yet on the "plagiarism" issue either which is getting a little annoying. It's bad enough to even say that word to a writer - let alone leave them hanging without an explanation. But patience is a virtue...sigh...

Discovered Something New

Found a new interesting idea today....It is a Wordpress Amazon Store Plug In to build your own Amazon store around keyword phrases.

This is basically how it works. Say you find out that Little Tikes Kitchen is going to be the hot item this Christmas you can use this wordpress plugin and build a quick store that features every Little Tikes Kitchen that Amazon offers in just a few simple steps. Here is an example of what it will look like

Combined with the Micro Niche Finder to determine which keywords have low competition (or even using the free Google keyword search) you simply purchase the domain with those keywords in it - run your wordpress plug in and set up your own quick site. Could make for some extra income, especially around the Holiday season.

I may give it a shot in a couple of weeks, but right now I want to stay focused on my Google Sniper goal of getting at least 10 sites done. I've made the mistake before of bouncing all over with different ideas I've come across, so this time I am determined to remain focused.

If you want to check it out for yourself simply go to Wordpress and type in "Amazon Niche Store"

Moving Forward

Got a little behind in creating Sniper Site #4 and there is a good chance I will only be able to work on it a little while today (you know....that "real life" thing is getting in the way again) but I am determined to have it at least pre-launched by tomorrow afternoon. Until then....Happy Earnings!

What is Google Sniper?

What is Google Sniper? Here I am writing a blog about my Google Sniper Earnings and I realize that I never fully explained what the Google Sniper program actually is.

Google Sniper is a program that shows you step by step how to build a quick site containing as little as 4 or 5 posts that will rank highly and quickly in Google search engines.

These sites have huge earning potential from affiliate programs because the keywords you use to build them are based on exact terms that "ready to buy" customers are looking for.

The program was originally created and launched by George Brown for the first time in March of 2009.

He presented it to the skeptical and professional marketers that gather at the Warrior Forum and the feedback was simply amazing! (And if you know this group, they don't usually get excited about too many programs.) He sold over 300 copies of the program in 7 days.

His "tricks" (which aren't really tricks - simply discoveries made through his own trial and errors) have amazingly cut down the time it would normally take to get a site noticed and ranked by Google - and thereby increases the earning potential as well as how quickly those sites will start bringing in money after they are first launched.

What is also amazing about this program is that after purchasing it, it will cost you very little (if any) money to build these sites and get them rolling. There is no purchasing of any ads, no lists or traffic you have to buy. All the traffic is free, if you simply follow his step by step guide.

Any money you decide to lay out is up to you after that. For the best results it is best to sign up with a host for $6.95 a month that will host unlimited sites, use a Wordpress plug-in on that hosting site (which is completely free) and off you go.

You then have the option to either purchase a domain name (.com, .org or .net) using your keywords for a small fee of $7.95 for a year (from Godaddy or another domain registar)- or you can even use his program to build completely free sites using free blogging sites like Wordpress or Blogger (though purchase of the domain name usually ranks higher - so for really good keywords or a hot selling product you might want the .com, .org or .net).

When George realized the success and potential of this program due to the feedback from the Warrior Forum, he decided to take it down for awhile and completely revamp the program so even the newest of newbies would be able to work it.

He put together a comprehensive manual that takes you step by step through the program from beginning to end, as well as 8 Videos that make it even easier to follow.

I am not sure when he originally announced that he was relaunching the product, but I can tell you that by its new launch date of October 15, 2009, there was a huge buzz in the affiliate marketing community.

(I was so excited about it, I even bought it at it's pre-launch time of 10:30 am instead of waiting until 12:00 that day because if there was a server crash due to its popularity - I wanted to make sure I had my hands on it.)

That is when I decided to begin this blog and take people along on my Google Sniper Earnings journey.

As many of you may already know by reading my posts- I am pretty much a newbie myself.

Up until now, my internet experience has been selling on Ebay and article writing, so I can say for a fact that even someone who knows very little about internet marketing can have these sites up really quickly.

I admit I need to brush up a little on writing good copy for selling a product - but luckily there are tons of free web sites that are helping me with that.

George's program helps put my sites in the exact right place they need to be, which is really the hardest part. After that I can pretty much take it from there.

Here is the video that can show you more about the program itself and introduce you to George for the first time. Believe me, you will get very used to hearing his familiar voice not only on the 8 videos he provides but also the updates he sends through emails and his live Q& A sessions.

As for me, it's time to get back to work. I am up to Google Sniper Site #4.

Google Sniper Earnings Week Two - Day One

Morning All!

I finished putting together site number three yesterday and I am happy to say it did go much faster than the other two. This is actually becoming fun now. The part I like about this is that everyday I get to focus on a different subject matter and find different products which keeps it pretty interesting.

I "pre-launched" site number three and am waiting for it to get indexed by Google before adding the finishing touches that should make it climb up the Google ladder.

Site #3 is based around dog training. I have found that it only has "67" other competitors which means there is a great chance that it will make it to the number one spot on Google's first page for that exact keyword.

There is an average of over 3,000 people looking for that exact keyword a month - so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it makes some money.

In my search for those profitable keywords (I used the free Micro Niche Finder video I was telling you about located here) I also happily discovered two other good phrases I could use. Another one about dog training and one about cats.

Seeing as that I am an owner of both cats and dogs, writing posts about these subjects should be fairly easy.

I am loving that new process I found in the video to quickly find if the websites are available because I found out from GoDaddy that .org is available for both new phrases.

Google Sniper Site#1 and Google Sniper Site #2

Not much happening with these two yet. They are still both on Google's second page but I can see that some tweaking is in order. One of my sites lists only the keywords and not the new, more exciting title I came up with and under the description it still reads "just another wordpress blog" ...definitely not something people will want to click on. I thought I corrected everything in the right places to change that but I have to go into the sites themselves and see if I missed something.

I also don't know how often Google updates any changes so that might be it as well. I will work today on figuring this out.

Ehow Earnings Problem

I seem to be having another problem with Ehow. Aside from very low earnings last week (1/2 of what they should be) now I found they have changed their policy yet again and are pre-approving articles before putting them online.

Now, don't get me wrong, I think it is a great idea for quality control and to ensure that no one has their profitable articles deleted later in sweeps, the problem however is I submitted an article to them that I tweaked after putting it up on Associated Content and got an email from Ehow saying they are looking into the situation because they are afraid it has been "plaigarized" and that they will get back to me soon.

I know it is from the article that I put up on Associated Content first, (all of my articles are completely 100% original and mine) I am just wondering how they are going to go about verifying that I am the same writer on Associated. Up until now, Ehow accepted pre-published articles as long as they were 100% original from the author (which mine is). I am not sure what i am going to do moving forward if they change that policy as well.

The only benefit to writing articles for me was the upfront payment I was receiving from Associated Content and Helium and the back payment I was making from ad clicks on Ehow. If they start requiring exclusive material however - I don't think it will be worth my time writing for them.

Oh well... I guess I am just going to have to await their response before jumping the gun. It should be fairly easy for them to confirm I am one and the same person.

Well, that's all for now...I'll keep you "posted"

P.S. If you haven't purchased the Google Sniper Program or the Micro Niche Finder program yet you should check out both introductory videos.

Google Sniper Earnings Week One - Day Two

Yay!

My other site was indexed by Google yesterday! What a relief! Not only that - but it is already on Googles' second page and I still haven't finished bookmarking yet!

This is awesome! -- Now I just hope to see some sales.

I received an email yesterday asking if I was going to reveal the actual Google Sniper websites that I've been using and I'm afraid unfortunately, the answer is no.

As honest as I will be with my earnings and the silly mistakes I make along the way, I found out from past experience that giving out too much information about the site itself can bite me in the butt....

While I know most people are honest, I found there were a few that decided to use my specific long tailed keywords from the articles I was writing and I ended up losing a lot of traffic after all of my time consuming research and I'd prefer not make that mistake again. I will however, divulge the major subject matter. It is something I am keeping track of myself to keep an eye on which markets preform better.

Here is the progress chart I will continuously update showing how long it took to get the site on first page of Google and how much each site is earning. While I won't update it daily if things stay the same, I will update it when there are any earnings or changes.

Google Sniper Earnings - Week One

Well I've got 2 Google Sniper sites up and just about ready to go.

Sniper site #1 has already been indexed by Google and it is already showing up on page 2 of Google. This is a great thing to see because I haven't even finished putting up my last post on it or bookmarked it yet.

Sniper site #2 however might be a bit of a problem. I think I have made a serious blunder here. I had picked a keyword that had both .org and .net available for it and I purchased both domains from GoDaddy.

I was playing around with both of them while I was trying to get the hang of Wordpress and put the same exact words and information on both pages to see how it showed up in different themes. I have a feeling that Google picked up one but might have totally tossed out the second one due to duplicate content.

If that is true, I don't know how long or even if Google is going to relook and rerank the second site even though now it has totally different and unique information. The real shame of it is - the 2nd site that didn't get picked up yet -- was my favorite of the two.

So I will keep my eyes open and fingers crossed hoping Google picks it up and gets it in their search pages.

There are quite a few steps when using Google Sniper which you are probably aware. At first it felt like it was all taking forever, but I have to admit it does get a little easier and faster the more you do it.

George, the creator of Google Sniper says it usually takes 2 to 3 hours to get a site up from start to finish. I have to be honest it has taken me more like 2 to 3 days to get both sites where they are. But then again, I had to deal with my inexperience regarding simple file transfers and even learning Wordpress from scratch.

If you already know this information you are way ahead of the game.

So now all I have left to do on these sites is get the last post up on each one and do the onetime bookmarking.

I really hope to see my first sale soon, but I know that patience is required...don't you just hate that?!

Micro Niche Finder Keyword Search

Anyway I luckily received an awesome idea from Micro Niche Finder that shows you not only how to find a massive amount of great keywords to build sniper sites around but also to find out if the domains for them are available.

This is pretty much how it works: You pick out a keyword about anything you want: say something crazy like Liver Spots because you found a great product you can market with that keyword. Then you take the following steps

-- Type the word Liver Spots into Micro Niche Finder .
-- MicroFinder comes back with about 150 different ways that people type in this phrase
-- Go up and click the inport button located right at the top of Micro Niche Finder
-- It will automatically import all 150 words into an excel document
-- Click copy to copy all of those words in excel
-- Then go to Godaddy.com (you don't need to have an account)
-- In the middle of the Godaddy homepage is an option for Bulk registration
-- Simply click on that button
-- Check mark off that you want to know all .com, .org and .nets available for those keyword phrases and then paste in your list
-- Within 10 seconds it returns to you all of the sites that are available with .com, .net and org.
-- Then you simply find the ones that you are most attracted to and go back into Micro Niche Finder to see which phrase has the most views and the least competition.

Here is a free video they just sent me to show you how easy it works.

This works absolutely perfectly with the Google Sniper program, because building these kinds of sites is what it is all about.

Article Writing

Unfortunately no article writing got done again this week due to my quest for my first Google Sniper earnings.

For some reason my Ehow articles income has dropped over the last few days. I had been averaging over $2.50 per day but this last week that has dropped to about $1.50 - $1.60 a day. Not too sure why...but it has gone through this before. Hopefully earnings will be back up soon.

I checked the Ehow forums and I don't see anyone else complaining so it must just be a slow week for me.

I've decided to give myself a break for the rest of October when it comes to article writing and simply focus on Sniper sites. I would like to have at least 5 up and fully operational by October 31st.

Am dealing with a small case of carpal tunnel syndrome however which is making all of this a little painful. I have a wrist brace in my house somewhere, but after the last move we made I'm having a hard time locating it. I would love to say that this injury is due to "working so incredibly hard" but the truth is I believe it has to do with the stupid Bejeweled Blitz marathon I was on last week - stupid game - so addicting!!

Anyway, why am I sharing all this with you? Probably because my wrist is hurting right now and I promised that I would share my "pain" with you as I went through this money making process - so there it is!

Anyway, that's all for now! Hope you have a great day and happy earnings!!

Slow Going

Don't you hate when real life gets in the way of working on a new project? I'm only kidding. (Well half-kidding) Of coarse "life" is the reason I am working in the first place, but there are times when really all I want to focus on is my current project and hate to be taken away from it.

I guess that could be considered a good thing, because I remember what it was like to hate my job so much I would do anything to avoid it.

Anyway, it is Monday and time to get back to work.

Things are going much slower than I anticipated because I've been hitting all sorts of glitches since getting started. I am happy to say that it really doesn't have to do with the Google Sniper program itself but more due to my lack of knowledge of the behind the scenes workings of websites.

For example, George shows how easy it is to transfer files over to your new blog using Filezilla. Simple enough right? He does it in 2 seconds on the video. I however, use GoDaddy.com as my file server and my ftp transfer program. In wanting to follow George's step by step program I tried Filezilla and couldn't for the life of me figure out the FTP address I needed to use.

I kept thinking it was the new website address when instead it was supposed to be my major account at Godaddy. After a frustrating hour of trying to figure it out I finally called GoDaddy (duh! if I had only done that an hour earlier) but they finally told me what I was doing wrong. THEN I couldn't remember my password for the main account so I had to go online and change the password and wait to be approved for the new one.

Another problem I had was the simple downloading and transferring certain wordpress files over to my new wordpress blog site. For whatever reason I just could not get the files to show up where they were supposed to.

Again not due to the training video, but simply due to my inexperience. I finally found a roundabout way of going about it and I am happy to say I finally accomplished it.

So what literally took 3 minutes on the video - took me more than 3 hours. (I told you this would be an interesting experience!)

Anyway, I am using my law of attraction visualization technique and picturing how a month from now I am going to have this thing down to a science and will be so good at this, I will be able to put up at least 3 or 4 sniper sites a week. I picture all of those wonderful Google Sniper Earnings appearing in my various affiliate accounts and how I can't believe that I ever thought this was difficult in the beginning.

So anyway I am off to the next step...will keep you posted.

P.S. I updated my earnings from my other writing sites...a little pitiful this week due to not writing any new articles....just to make myself feel better I might pound out one or two over the next couple of days...I hate it when I see earnings slow down instead of increasing...

Google Sniper Earnings Day One

I happily received the Google Sniper program yesterday at 10:30am and of coarse couldn't wait to get to it. (Didn't make dinner at all last night - luckily hubby saw that coming and picked up Chinese on his way home)

There are quite a few steps involved (a little bit more than I expected) but it seems easy enough to follow if I take it slow.

I can see why most sites would have no choice but end up at the top of Google searches with some of the steps George suggests.

System was a little slow when trying to watch the videos but I guess that is to be expected on launch day.

I read the entire ebook and then spent pretty much the rest of the afternoon trying to find good key words in Micro Niche Finder. (I'm still trying to figure out the ins and outs on that program as well.)

It is a little harder to find keywords that fit into the perfect Google Sniper mold than I thought, but then again I think I just need to expand my mind a little because I found myself naturally drawn to common keywords which of coarse, would have a lot of competition. Given time I am sure I can expand myself to looking up specific product names and less commonly known phrases that will still pull in good traffic.

I did find a few keywords that come close and I am going to decide today which one I should start with.

I am a little intimidated about taking the first leap, but I've always felt like that before starting something new - so I'll just suck it up and push on through.

I simply keep focusing on how I will feel when I see that first sale (whenever that might be) and in knowing that the first site is up and accomplished.

I'll keep you posted as I move along....

P.S. - Ironically came across a bunch of great keywords to use for Ehow articles while in Micro Niche Finder - I'm fighting the itch to write those articles right now because I know it will be more of an avoidance tactic than anything else. I stored them for later use. Oh well.....

Google Sniper Launch Day

Well thankfully the day is finally here. Google Sniper launch day!

I woke up this morning at 4:15am (I'm excited - but not that excited - I just don't sleep a lot) but I went online and found out that George left an email with some more information.

My biggest question was regarding price which I am thankful to find out is still the original $77 that he released the product at last time.

At first I wondered why so big a launch for so small a price but then realized it is the ongoing $37 monthly support (not mandatory - but probably helpful) that will probably bring the big bucks in for him - which makes sense to me. Imagine if even as little as 500 people sign up for the support - that would come to over $18,000 a month putting in only a few hours of time a week. Not too shabby!

Anyway, there is an "early bird special" where you can get the program at 10:30 am EST as opposed to waiting until 12:00 pm to hopefully avoid any site crashes. I'll probably go with that option. It is only 5:20 am so I haven't decided yet.

I am cautiously optimistic. I truly believe that with hard word and dedication any program can work for you - but a part of me can't help but wonder if too many people buy the program - will that narrow my chances of finding great niche keywords? That probably sounds silly if you consider the limitlessness of the internet, but the fear lingers there a little in the back of my head.

I sucked it up yesterday and finally purchased Micro Niche Finder. I figured I was going to eventually need the program regardless of how Google Sniper works out, because I can use it for many other things such as Ehow articles.

I have to admit I got a few unique ideas from the creator (his name escapes me at the moment) about other ways to make money with Micro Niche Finder like working with Yahoo Answers. Pretty interesting stuff. (Here is a link by the way to the video that explains how to do it. Check it out - you might find it interesting as well.)

While it probably won't make anyone a fortune, I can see how just spending 10 or 15 minutes a day doing this could bring in some extra pocket change each month and as we all know -- every little bit helps.

I played around with the program all afternoon yesterday with some of the different ideas he showed on the videos and I had a good time.

So anyway, more about Google Sniper. George also informed his audience that there will be one extremely detailed ebook along with 8 different videos that help explain the step-by-step process on how to use Sniper.

The videos compliment the ebook by showing exactly how to do many of the steps so I know how I will be spending my day today.

(I think I will get started on the housecleaning now so I have the whole afternoon to dedicate to learning. I have a feeling once I start I will not want to stop. Probably having tv dinners for dinner this evening - oh well.... :-) )

Until Tomorrow,

Countdown To Google Sniper

Only two more days until the new version of Google Sniper comes out and I am both nervous and excited.

Excited because of its earning potential and nervous about how much it will cost and if I will be able to master it.

According to past reviews of the product by many people online it is supposed to be step-by-step and easy to follow.

I just hope I can be creative enough to find the right keywords that will make it work.

I am considering purchasing Micro Niche Finder, another product that comes highly recommended in helping people find great long tailed keywords, but I want to wait until I have gotten the Google Sniper program first to see if it has any cheaper recommendations on how to find the perfect keywords to make Google Sniper sites profitable.

Here is what I know about Google Sniper so far from research I have done on the internet:

It was first created by George on.......................

About Me

Hi,

My name is Janeen and I am a stay at home Mom.

I am writing this blog to not only share my trials and tribulations while trying to earn money online, but also as a way to help keep me on track towards my goals.

While my audience may end up being small, I will definitely be inspired to keep plugging away knowing that I have to post my progress every few days and will be horribly embarrassed to continually say that I goofed off and got nothing accomplished.

In case you are interested, here is a little background information on me.

I worked in Manhattan for over 15 years as a Benefits Administrator for a fairly large wall street firm. I left the city a little over 10 years ago when my son was born. It was an agreement between my husband and myself that we both wanted me to stay home to raise him, though at times I admit, it got pretty rough financially (and still does occasionally).

A few months after my son was born, I started selling on Ebay. My specialty was toys, because…well… a part of me has never grown up and I have just always loved them :). Anyway, I was fairly successful on Ebay and was pretty much earning almost a full time salary within a year and a half.

While it was a lot of work, Ebay was a big help in getting the bills paid and I continued to be successful for almost 7 years.

Then, due to many policy changes at Ebay, as well as the dip in the economy, I discovered that the well was drying up and it was time to move on.

My next move was to build a website on the Law of Attraction because it is something I strongly believe in and loved writing about. (Just to let you know however, it is not the sappy version of the Law as depicted in The Secret where all you need to do is wish it and your dreams will come true. It is based on realistically setting goals and finding your way around problems. It is about believing in yourself and looking for the positives that come from the negatives and never giving up.)

Anyway, the site suffered a little setback when I accidentally let the .com expire because I had changed credit cards and didn’t realize the annual fees were due. Someone else snatched it up. Luckily, I had backed up most of my work and reworked it into a blog.

While I love working on the site, the truth is it was not much of a money maker. I know a lot of it has to do with the site design which I desperately need to rework, but the fact is the subject matter itself is just not popular enough to bring in a lot of traffic.

Hopefully in time as I keep learning, I will find a way to make it more profitable. In the meantime however, I needed to find other ways to continue making money from home, so I moved on to article writing.

Writing Articles

There is a lot of potential to make money writing articles online and it is something I continue to do. It is also one of the things I will keep track of on this blog. It does however, also require a lot of patience.

I currently write for Associated Content, Helium and Ehow. I have also dabbled in Squidoo, Bukisa and Gather.

I have found that each site has its own set of benefits and drawbacks which will be covered in more detail in my blog. As a quick note however, I have found that Ehow seems to have the most potential.

Going Forward

While I will continue to write articles, I am also moving onto to a new venture that seems to have a lot of potential and that is building Google Sniper sites.

Today is October 13, 2009 and the newest version of Google Sniper is set to be released in 2 days. I have done a lot of research on the previous versions of this product that have been released and it seems like the real deal and the reason why I have started this blog.

I figured I would take others on my journey as I begin this new adventure. I have a feeling it will be very entertaining for us all as I stumble along learning how to master this new program.

So please check back often to watch my progress. Like I said before, with you looking on I will feel more determined to not slack off. Also please feel free to leave any comments or suggestions if you see me screwing up. I love and welcome good advice.

Oh and by the way, the best of luck in your own ventures! We’re all in this together.

Sincerely,
Janeen

My Ehow History

I started writing for Ehow in March 2009. I had heard that it had much better earning potential than both Associated Content and Helium and I am happy to report that it is true.

While the way they determine payout is still sort of a mystery, I have found that it definitely pays more than the other sites I write for and is a great passive income opportunity.

This is because the articles not only continue to earn money month after month, but in many cases the income increases as your titles moves up the Google search engine ladder.

The more views your article gets, the higher it gets ranked in Google which then leads to even more clicks and increased chances of people clicking on the ads in your articles.

It appears that Google already loves Ehow to begin with and I have had quite a few articles show up on the first page within only a week or two after posting them which has been a ton of fun.

There are however some drawbacks to Ehow which keeps me from putting all of my eggs into that one basket. They have been preforming article sweeps recently that have deleted many authors articles without prior notification.

They claim they are doing this to get rid of a lot of the junk articles on the site (which they admittedly have - so I can certainly understand their position) but unfortunately it seems in many instances other high quality - high paying articles have been deleted as well with little explanation and replaced with lesser quality pieces produced by ehow staff writers.

There has been some debate in the forums that this is a tactical maneuver being made by Ehow so they can make more money off of proven high paying keywords, but I truly like the helpful staff at Ehow and give them the benefit of the doubt that they are indeed just trying to improve the sites' quality.

I believe this because as of the last sweep they did do their best to notify writers about what articles they were deleting and the reason why (though some writers didn't buy some of the explanations given).

As for myself, I have been fairly lucky so far. Out of 149 articles I have only had 3 deleted in the sweeps so far. One I understood completely because it read more like an informative article as opposed to a how-to. The other two however I was a little mystified about. And yes, one of them was indeed one of my higher payers.

But on the whole, I don't have much to complain about. I will simply keep my fingers crossed that I survive the next sweep fairly intact.

There are other reasons however why I do not want to make Ehow my biggest earner and that is simply because anything can happen. Ehow can decide to sell to someone else who will not give out these kind of payouts or Ehow's relationship with Google can change....there are many factors. So while I will continue to write for them, I am also branching out to other money making areas where I have a little more control.

Because I am writing this so late in the game I will give a quick snapshot of my earning history at Ehow to get you up to date.

March 2009 - total of 4 articles written - $0.39
April 2009 - total of 28 articles written - $2.51
May 2009 - total of 69 articles written - $13.96
June 2009 - total of 84 articles written - $23.45
July 2009 - total of 90 articles written -$36.64
August 2009 - total of 123 articles written $30.02 (not sure why this dropped from last month)
September 2009 - 144 articles written - $60.83
October 2009 - TBA

Total Earned to Date From Ehow - $167.80

As you can see one of the bigger jumps was between August and September. This is not only due to the increase of articles but also when I started to learn the importance of keywords and how to use them (makes a BIG difference I assure you - that was why I was earning so little with the first articles).

I know there are a lot of people who advertise WriterGig's book How To Make Money With Ehow and I will also be one of them because I really did buy it and it really did help me to make more money and learn how to better searches for keywords.

It also gave me other handy tips on how to get the most out of each article. One of the tips that I just went back and implemented was to add related Amazon books as references on each article for people who wanted more information on a subject and I found out that while people aren't buying in droves, I have in fact made some extra money from it.

The truth is, a lot of the information (including the Amazon tip I just gave you) can be found for free on the internet, but at the time I didn't even know where to begin looking so it was quicker and easier for me to simply order the e-book and I found it really did help me out.

Another way to get ehow article tips for free is to simply visit the Ehow forums. There are a great bunch of people there with interesting ideas that can help boost your articles.

So anyway, I don't think I will have much to report for the month of October when it comes to Ehow because I haven't had a chance to write any articles due to this new blog and research I am doing on Google Sniper, but I will get going again in November so I should hopefully start seeing some more jumps in earnings.

My Associated Content History

I joined Associated Content in October 2008. I have to admit, while others claim great success with this site, unfortunately I haven't had the same kind of luck.

I am sure that this has a lot to do with the types of articles I prefer to write, which are more evergreen in content and not very hot search properties.

I have however found a benefit from Associated Content that personally works for me and I pretty much use it on a daily basis.

Associated Content pays for articles upfront and this helps bring in a few extra dollars every month.

The trick with Associated is that you need to submit original material to them first if you want to receive an upfront payment.

So what I will usually do (as long as I am doing the research anyway) is to write two (or even 3) different versions of an article and start by submitted it to Associated Content first.

With Associated you have the option to make an article exclusive (for a slightly higher payment) or to submit it to them first while retaining the rights to place your work on other sites (which is what I always do - I found the exclusive payment is not that much more).

After Associated has paid for your article, (if it is not exclusive) you can then (after a small waiting period) tweak your article and submit it to other sites such as Helium and Ehow.

This way if I write an article such as "Different Ways To Get Ink Stains Out of Carpets" I get paid by Associated first and then alter the article to fit a site like Ehow by making it a step-by-step process.

So basically I get paid by Associated when I first write the article and then get paid anytime someone clicks on an ad when it is up on Ehow.

Associated Content also pays you on a monthly basis according to how many page views your article has gotten that month.

For beginner writers on the site they pay $1.10 for every thousand views that your article receives.

So if you write highly sought after articles this could possibly add up to some decent money. As I said before though, due to the nature of my subject matters, I usually only bring in about $10.00 - $12.00 a month on average from PPV (pay per veiws).

The upfront payments however, I have found can add up when I am on a writing roll.

My goal eventually is to write at least 3 articles a day along with building my Google Sniper sites.

While not every article I write gets accepted by Associated, I have to say approximately 90% of them do. I usually average about $3.50 to $4.00 per article (other writers definitely make more) but multiply that by 90 articles a month and we are talking about another possible $300 a month just in upfront payments from Associated. This does not count PPV's or the extra money I make when I alter the article for Ehow or Helium.

So while I am not exactly making a fortune, it can add up to some nice pocket change at the end of the month when you combine all of the different ways I have used one article.

My Past Associated Content Earnings

So far in 2009 I have earned $70.37 in PPV's and $492.00 in upfront payments (and that is with only writing about 10 to 12 articles a month).

If I can really do my 3 articles a day that will obviously increase significantly, so if writing articles is your thing, it might be something to look into for yourself.

Google Sniper Earnings Progress Chart - Updated 10/24

FOllOW MY PROGRESS

The following is a screen shot taken from my Excel sheet showing my daily progress.

-- It shows the site number to keep track of each site

-- The general subject matter of the site since I can't list the site itself

-- It shows what date I originally launched the site

-- How long it took to be indexed by Google (you do this simply by typing the full name of the website into Google and see if it shows up anywhere in Google)

-- How much longer it took to make it to the 1st or 2nd page on Google when I type in my specific keywords

-- The date that I earned money (I simply do this out of curiosity to find out if some days get more traffic or clicks during the week than others)

-- How much I made on that site per day.

Updated: October 24, 2009

While there is no reason to update daily yet (I hope there will be a need to in the near future) I will update anytime any of the information has changed. Sorry I haven't figured out screen capture very well - Blogger keeps reducing the size of the pic automatically

My Helium History

I started writing for Helium in November 2008. This is another site, while it won't make me rich, does pay out decently over time for doing minimal work.

As I've discussed before in My History at Associated Content - quite often I will tweak an article I have already written and then submit it to Ehow and Helium.

I will change the article to a how-to format for Ehow and simply move things around a little before submitting it to Helium.

Helium does not require original content but will still pay upfront for well-written content.

As long as I retain my rights to an article after I have submitted it to Associated Content, I am then allowed to publish it somewhere else.

While there are a lot of sites I could probably submit these articles to that will get me ppv clicks I only submit articles to these 3 sites because it seems the more your article is "out" there, the less Google attention it will attract, bringing down earnings on all sites.

So I have personally found that submitting a tweaked article to just AC, Helium and Ehow brings me the biggest returns.

Helium is structured a little differently than Associated Content. In Associated Content you can submit an article with any title that you desire and simply need to wait for them to approve it.

With Helium, there is already "pre-set" titles that they are looking for articles to be submitted to.

Quite often I find I can tweak an article enough so it will fit under one of these pre-set titles.
